Before, During… and Soon After - Maine Photographer Gary Pearl
Maine photographer Gary Pearl recently came to me asking for assistance with his photography website. I agreed (fully) that it needed a facelift.
His website reminded me of the commercial where the doctor is on the phone with his patient. His patient is sitting at home with a butter knife in hand while the doctor gives instructions to perform some sort of surgery. The patient responds with “Shouldn’t you be doing this?” The advertisement goes on to say there are certain things you should leave to the professionals.
Often people think it will be cheaper if they have their cousin’s sister’s nephew’s friend who is “good with computers” build their website. It rarely amounts to a successful website. So take another look at the old website and then take a look at the new website in progress. Save yourself the frustration of trying to do it yourself and spend your time doing the things you do best. Go take some pictures, Gary! I’ve got the website covered!
