I'll admit, I love the PowerPC. I've always been fascinated by the microprocessor, and the technology that makes up a PPC chip.

Admittedly, I've also been swinging more toward scenario #3 from above. I've been starting to care less as to which processor will be in my new Mac two/three years from now, as long as Apple's hardware remains as beautifully-designed as it is now, and as long as Mac OS continues to as be rock-solid, and intuitive, and reliable as it is now.

I was planning on the purchase of a (loaded) Mac Mini within the next six months, and I don't think I'll wait until 2007. I will likely just go on and purchase one with the PowerPC processor in it. I have a very hard time believing that the PPC architecture will die off that quickly (as some speculate in the media) post the release of Apple's Intel-based computers.
